Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics Course**************

http://soulfight.net/v-web/gallery/albums/album04/copsbanner.gif

Too often in the attempt to subdue a non-compliant suspect, an officer will find him or herself wrestling frantically standup or on the ground in the attempt to control the situation and make the arrest.

The C.O.P.S. Program's (TM) philosophy is to help Law Enforcement officers better understand and survive the uncertainly of a grappling/wrestling and ground fighting scenario with a criminal in a short training period.

The C.O.P.S. Program (TM) is an easy to learn Law Enforcement defensive tactics training course that stands for: Control Options Positioning Strategies.  In a short time period, an officer can learn how to control a non-compliant suspect or escape a dangerous situation using the techniques from the C.O.P.S. Program (TM).  Well within the contingence of the lethal force continuum, the program teaches techniques that are based on leverage, simplicity and strategy developed from the Martial Art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a grappling-oriented style, with substantial groundwork originated by the Gracie family of Brazil.

The C.O.P.S. Program (TM) helps Law Enforcement address the panic and ignorance of a grappling scenario with a dangerous criminal standing up or on the ground.  By relying on awareness, technique and leverage instead of uncertainly, strength and power, a police officer will understand the importance of positioning, control and the use of the immobilization options explored in the C.O.P.S. Program (TM).

Program Overview:

Weapon retention from many positions, positional escapes standing up and on the ground, effective takedowns, immobilization techniques, handcuffing procedures, two man takedowns, ground positions for control and escape and so much more!

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT
http://soulfight.net/v-web/gallery/albums/album01/Law_Enforcement_Paper.thumb.jpg

Tony,

I have been employed as a police officer in Bucks County for the past eight years.  During my

career I have attended numerous defensive tactics and martial arts classes pertaining to police work.  I honestly believe that of all the training I received in the past; the time spent training at Revolution Academy is far superior.

Your method of instruction allows a student to absorb and retain techniques much easier than other types of training I have received.  I would highly recommend the Revolution Academy to law enforcement and security personnel, or private citizens looking for self-defense training.

Sincerely,

Officer John V. Morozin

The Revolution Academy is a top-notch facility with expert instruction.  My experience at the Revolution Academy has been educational, valuable and most of all, fun.

I have been a police officer in Bucks County, Pennsylvania for seven years.  I have had extensive training and experience as a SWAT operator, a handgun retention instructor, and a defensive tactics instructor.

The training that I have received at the Revolution Academy has been the most valuable training in the area of defensive tactics that I received thus far in my career.  The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) program is practical for law enforcement officers, and has provided me with additional confidence when I'm on patrol.

The attitude and the atmosphere provided by instructor Tony Pacenski produces a true camaraderie amongst the students.  I have also quickly learned to appreciate both the fitness benefits, and the mental strategy involved with BJJ.

I highly recommend the Revolution Academy for any law enforcement officer, or anyone interested in martial arts or physical fitness.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Self-Defense Program **************

In 2004 as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt, Tony Pacenski developed at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program and curriculum for West Chester University of Pennsylvania's student fitness program while attending school to complete his degree in elementary education.  During the first semester, Tony came across several problems that needed simple situations.  First, there was not enough time to teach the core techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the kimono for competition.  Because of limited space using mats and due to his commitment to teaching the art with integrity, Tony also didn't want to only teach self-defense techniques or only vale-tudo positions which were gaining popularity because of mixed martial arts.

Another problem that developed at the university was that Tony would come across two types of students that entered his college jiu-jitsu program: 1) The smaller self-conscious college student that would say, "Teach me how to defend myself against drunken fraternity guys;" and, 2) The larger fraternity guy that wanted to learn how to fight.  Tony was left with the challenges of developing a jiu-jitsu curriculum that taught basic core Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu positions and strategies that helped students learn very quickly the skills needed to defend themselves in the streets not in competition. It was important to give students the working knowledge to develop a solid foundation in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu so that other skills in self-defense and competition could be further developed by joining a jiu-jitsu academy.  Moreover, Tony wanted to teach of fundamental philosophies and fighting strategies of the art so that there would be a driving respect for Jiu-Jitsu as not just another way of fighting or wrestling with submission holds.

After one experimental semester at West Chester University and hours of research, Tony developed a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Self-Defense program and curriculum.  The program taught the three most important elements to make jiu-jitsu effective for the individual, the seven key concepts and positions to win, and finally was an instructional course that gave real results after five lessons.  Tony coined the curriculum: The 3-7-5 System for Jiu-Jitsu from Brazil (TM) Self-Defense program level 1!

Women's Rape Prevention Self-Defense Course***********

                                                                                                                                                                  (TM)
The S.C.R.E.A.M. Program
Strategically Controlled Rape Escape Against Men

Statistics show that 1 out of every 3 American women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime.

Too often, women do not recognize the three stages of a sexual assault that could lead to a rape by a stranger, acquaintance, friend or family member.  Even worse, if a woman is attacked, due to her lack of knowledge in how to protect herself, she will give into her fears and will be intimidated or overpowered into the inevitable.

The S.C.R.E.A.M. Program (TM)  is a rape prevention program that teaches women how to relax and behave mentally & physically in the panic of a sexual assault situation.

The S.C.R.E.A.M. Program (TM) teaches self-defense techniques that are based on leverage, simplicity and strategy developed from the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a grappling-oriented style, with substantial groundwork.  The program utilizes both standing and ground escapes.  It is important to emphasize that this a self-defense course.  All techniques are geared towards providing a woman with an avenue of escape.  The striking techniques (kicking, elbowing or slapping) in the S.C.R.E.A.M. Program (TM) are used as a distraction to escape because it is assumed that the rapist is experienced and stronger.

The program objectives:
1. To learn and apply the skills to escape, via:
a.) Awareness skills
b.) Verbal and non-verbal skills
c.) Self-Defense strategies and techniques to escape in the actual assault stage.

2. To develop the skill of a relaxed and focused state of mind; to recognized and/or create an avenue of escape.

The program and skills are taught and drilled in a relaxed atmosphere until the students achieve a certain level of competence.  Later, the teaching element of controlled realism is introduced by using a lightly padded mock assailant.  Controlled realism is used to practice the techniques and strategies in real-time, and also to provide the students with insight into the experience of an actual attack.  From this new insight the students will be able to ask questions and gain confidence in the S.C.R.E.A.M. Program's (TM) techniques and strategies!
